Privacy policy
Short version: we do not collect, store or sell personal information. What you type, including names and ID numbers, stays on your device.

Payslips and contracts
The payslip generator and contract template work entirely in your web browser. The PDF or Word file is created on your device and downloaded directly. Names, addresses, ID numbers and pay details are not sent to us, not saved in cookies or browser storage, and not added to the page address. When you close the page, they are gone, so keep your own copies.
Calculators and shared links
The minimum wage, UIF, leave and final-pay calculators add the numbers you enter (such as hours and dates, never names) to the page address, so the Share button can create a link that reproduces the calculation. This stays in your browser unless you share or bookmark the link.
Analytics
On our kayawise.co.za addresses we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages and tools people use. It is cookieless: it sets no cookies, uses no browser storage and does not fingerprint or follow you across sites. It collects aggregate page views only (for example the page visited, the referring site, and the browser, device type and country), with no personal data, and nothing you type into a tool is sent. The small script is loaded from static.cloudflareinsights.com.
Hosting logs
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use this data to identify you.
Advertising and cookies
We show ads from Google AdSense to keep the tools free. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies and similar technologies to show ads, including personalised ads based on your visits to this and other websites, to limit how often you see an ad and to measure ad performance and detect fraud. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to our sites and other sites on the internet.
You can turn off personalised ads in Google's ad settings, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services in How Google uses cookies in advertising. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the calculators keep working without them.
What you type into our tools is never sent to Google or to us. Under POPIA you may object to the use of cookies for direct marketing: opting out in Google's ad settings or blocking third-party cookies stops personalised ads.
Future paid features
We plan optional paid features such as saved workers and payslip reminders. These would need an account and would store some information. They do not exist yet. Before they launch, this policy will be updated to explain exactly what is stored, where, and how to delete it.
Your rights under POPIA
The Protection of Personal Information Act gives you the right to know what personal information is held about you and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Because the tools do not collect personal information, we normally hold none. If you email us, we use your email only to reply and delete it when it is no longer needed. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa).
